Anthropic surpasses OpenAI in business adoption for the first time

Anthropic has surpassed OpenAI in business adoption for the first time, with 34.4% of businesses now using Anthropic compared to 32.3% for OpenAI, according to the latest data from Ramp’s AI Index. This marks a significant shift, as Anthropic’s adoption saw an increase of 3.8% in April, while OpenAI’s decreased by 2.9%. The data reflects a broader trend where first-time AI buyers are increasingly favoring Anthropic, particularly in sectors like software development where its tools, such as Claude Code, are well-received.
